FMGE June 2026 Aadhaar & Application Rule: What Changed

The FMGE June 2026 application window opened on 21 April 2026 and closes on 11 May 2026 at 11:55 PM. Beyond the standard fee (₹6,195) and the exam date (28 June 2026), NBEMS has tightened the application flow this session — most notably with an Aadhaar verification step that ties your identity to the application, the photograph and the eventual admit card.

None of the changes are show-stoppers. All of them are skippable in a good way only if you read them once. Miss one and the application sits in “pending” or rejects on the day before the deadline.

1 What changed in FMGE June 2026

• →Aadhaar verification step. The application form now includes an Aadhaar OTP-verification block. The Aadhaar number is matched against your MBBS degree name and your candidate profile. Mismatches will not let you proceed.
• →Stricter document linkage. The MBBS degree, internship completion certificate, and Indian Embassy attestation must all carry the same name. Any name change post-MBBS (marriage, gazetted update) needs an affidavit attached.
• →Photograph standard tightened. 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm white background, taken within last six months, name and date printed at the bottom in 14–16 pt black ink. Selfies and old graduation photos auto-reject.
• →PDF size cap. Each uploaded document must be ≤ 1 MB and in PDF (not JPG) for the document set; photograph and signature remain JPG ≤ 100 KB.
• →No edit window after submission. Once you click final submit, no fields can be edited. Earlier sessions allowed limited edits during a correction window; June 2026 has removed that.

2 Key dates — the only ones that matter

The 21-day application window is shorter than candidates often realise. If you waited for confirmation that the notification was real before starting your document collection, you have probably already lost a week.

3 Document checklist for upload

• ✓Class 10 mark sheet & certificate — date of birth proof.
• ✓MBBS degree certificate — final, not provisional. Foreign-issued certificates must be on institutional letterhead.
• ✓Indian Embassy attestation — the MBBS degree must carry the embassy stamp from your country of study.
• ✓Eligibility certificate from NMC — the original NMC eligibility letter issued before you joined the foreign medical college.
• ✓Internship completion certificate — one-year compulsory rotating internship from the parent foreign medical college.
• ✓Aadhaar card — for OTP verification. Name must match MBBS degree exactly.
• ✓Passport — first page with name, photo and DOB; last page with address.
• ✓Photograph & signature — specifications above. JPG, ≤ 100 KB each.
• ✓Affidavit (if applicable) — for any name discrepancy across documents.

Get this collection scanned and named consistently before you log in to the portal. A common rejection reason is documents named randomly that do not match the upload field labels.

4 Aadhaar mismatch — the rejection trap

The single most common reason applications hit “pending verification” in the new system is an Aadhaar-vs-degree name mismatch. Three sub-cases:

• ×Marriage name change. If your Aadhaar shows post-marriage name but MBBS degree shows maiden name (or vice-versa), you need a notarised affidavit linking the two. Do this before applying.
• ×Spelling variation. “Mohammad” vs “Mohammed,” “Reddy” vs “Reddi.” Even a single character mismatch is flagged. Reissue Aadhaar with the corrected spelling that matches the degree.
• ×Initials vs full name. Aadhaar showing “S Kumar” while MBBS degree reads “Sandeep Kumar” will not match. Update Aadhaar to the full expanded name.

5 What does not change for FMGE June 2026

• →Exam pattern is unchanged. 300 MCQs, Part A + Part B (150 each), 2.5 hours per part, 50-Q timed sections, no negative marking, 150/300 to pass. The full breakdown sits on the FMGEPrep exam pattern page.

• →Eligibility requirements unchanged. Recognised foreign MBBS degree, embassy attestation, NMC eligibility certificate, completed internship.
