AIIMS has a short window for INI-CET registration, and the mistakes that cost candidates their seat are rarely about preparation. They are a missing certificate, an unpaid fee or a typo nobody checked. This checklist covers what to do before registration closes on 13 October 2026, and the dates that follow.
Key Takeaways
- ✓Registration: 16 September – 13 October 2026, closing at 5:00 pm
- ✓Fee: ₹4,000 (General/OBC-NCL/OCI/foreign national/sponsored), ₹3,200 (SC/ST/EWS), PwBD exempt
- ✓OBC, EWS, SC, ST, PwBD and OCI certificates must be uploaded by the registration deadline
- ✓Status-of-registration window: 17 October to 19 October; admit card: 26 October 2026
- ✓Exam: Sunday 1 November 2026
1Before you submit
- Eligibility. MBBS/BDS with the 12-month internship complete on or before 31 January 2027, and the minimum aggregate in the prospectus (55% for most candidates, 50% for SC/ST). Our eligibility guide covers the edge cases.
- Category certificate. OBC-NCL and EWS certificates must be issued between 1 April 2026 and the registration close date (financial year 2026-27). An older certificate is a common reason for a category claim being rejected.
- Name and date of birth. Match them exactly to the documents you will carry on exam day and at seat allocation.
- Photo and signature. Recent, clear and within the size rules on the portal.
- Fee. Pay before the deadline and keep the transaction reference. Applications without fee payment are rejected.
Watch out: Do not leave payment to the last evening. Gateways slow down near a deadline, and AIIMS closes registration at 5:00 pm, not midnight.
2After you submit
| Step | Date (AIIMS schedule) |
|---|---|
| Registration closes | 13 October 2026, 5:00 pm |
| Status of registration (check; follow portal instructions if anything is wrong) | 17 October to 19 October 2026, by 5:00 pm |
| Final status + admit card | 26 October 2026 |
| NOC (foreign nationals) / sponsorship certificate | 30 October 2026, 5:00 pm |
| Exam | Sunday 1 November 2026 |
| Result (expected) | 7 November 2026 |
The status-of-registration window is your safety net. Log in, open your application and check that it shows as accepted and that your category is right. If anything looks wrong, act on it during the window, following the instructions on the portal.
3Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the form is final once paid. Payment and submission are separate steps on many portals. Make sure the application shows as submitted, and save a PDF of it.
- Using two email IDs or phone numbers. Keep one of each for the whole cycle — admit card, result and seat allocation messages all go there.
- Ignoring the status window. Candidates who never log in again only find out about a problem when the admit card does not appear.
- Uploading a blurred certificate. If a reviewer cannot read the issue date or the category, the claim can be treated as missing.
4Sponsored and foreign national candidates
Sponsored candidates need a sponsorship certificate and 3 years of service with the sponsoring employer, counted as on the date the prospectus sets for each institute. Foreign nationals need a MoHFW no-objection certificate. Both documents are due by 30 October 2026 at 5:00 pm.
5Then get back to revision
Once the form is in, every hour should go to preparation. Our four-week revision plan is built around these same dates, and the INICET November 2026 guide has the full schedule in one place.
Kinase Tip: Set two reminders now: one for 17 October (status check) and one for 26 October (admit card). Both are easy to miss in a revision month.
