NEET-PG Admit Card — Release, Download and Exam-Day Rules

The NEET-PG admit card is your entry pass, and the exam-day rules around it are strict: a missing colour printout, the wrong ID or arriving after the reporting counter closes can cost you the year. Here is what NBEMS's information bulletin says, in the order you'll need it.

Last verified: 30 September 2026 against NBEMS NEET-PG 2026 Information Bulletin (Chapters 5–6) and natboard.edu.in NEET-PG page.

Quick Answer

NBEMS posts the NEET-PG admit card on natboard.edu.in a few days before the exam (for 2026: 25 August 2026, 5 days ahead) and emails you when it is live. Log in, download it and print it in colour. On exam day carry it with a colour photocopy of your SMC/NMC registration and one original government photo ID. Reporting closes 30 minutes before the start.

When does NBEMS release the NEET-PG admit card?

The release date is fixed in each year's information bulletin. The 2026 sequence below is a good guide to the order of events; watch the NEET-PG page on natboard.edu.in for the next cycle.

How do I download it, and what should I check?

  1. Open the NEET-PG page on natboard.edu.in and log in with the user ID and password you created at registration.
  2. Download the admit card. It is not posted, and it disappears from the site after the result, so save a PDF.
  3. Print it in colour on clean paper. The barcode / QR code is scanned at the entry table.

Before you file it away, check:

  • Your name matches your photo ID. If it changed after marriage or by gazette notification, carry the supporting document.
  • The photo is the one you uploaded, and it is clearly printed.
  • The centre address and Google Maps location. NBEMS asks you to visit the centre at least a day early, because the main gate and the reporting counter can be far apart.
  • The list of permitted items printed on the admit card itself.

What must I carry on exam day?

  • Printed COLOUR copy of the barcoded / QR-coded admit card
  • Photocopy of permanent / provisional SMC / NMC (MCI) registration — kept by the centre
  • One original, valid government photo ID: PAN card, driving licence, voter ID, passport or Aadhaar (with photograph)
  • UDID / disability certificate, only if claiming a scribe or extra time
  • Original FMGE pass certificate, only for Indian citizens / OCI with a foreign primary medical qualification

Photocopies of ID and DigiLocker copies are not accepted. If you gave your Aadhaar number in the form, bring the Aadhaar and unlock its biometrics beforehand at myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in or in the mAadhaar app; a locked biometric can hold you up at verification.

What is not allowed inside the centre?

AllowedBarred beyond security
  • Colour admit card
  • Registration photocopy
  • Original photo ID
  • Disability / FMGE certificate if applicable
  • Items the admit card itself permits
  • Any stationery: notes, pen, eraser, calculator, writing pad, pen drive
  • Any electronic device: mobile phone, Bluetooth, earphones, wrist or smart watch, health band
  • Ornaments: rings, earrings, nose-pin, chain, bracelet, badge, brooch
  • Wallet, goggles, handbag, belt, cap, mask, gloves
  • Any eatable, soft drink or water bottle

A barred item found beyond the security check is treated as unfair means. Expect a metal-detector check, frisking and an ear check for hidden devices. No pen, pencil or rough paper is allowed or provided, so practise doing calculations in your head.

What happens at the centre, hour by hour?

Time (2026 exam)What happens
7:00 AMEntry to the centre and registration for the test begin
8:30 AMEntry closes — the reporting counter shuts
8:45 AMCandidate login access granted
8:50 AMCandidates log in and read the instructions
9:00 AMExam starts
12:30 PMExam ends

At registration your fingerprints and photo are taken, and Face ID is matched against the photo from your application, again at each bio-break and during the exam. No extra time is given for these checks. The paper then runs in five time-locked sections: once a section closes you cannot go back to it. Friends and family are not allowed in the premises, and NBEMS asks them not to crowd the gates.

After the exam: NBEMS allows two calendar days to challenge a question for technical errors, then publishes the answer key and your responses. Read how your percentile and rank are worked out. Until then, full-length Kinase mocks in the same section-locked format are the closest rehearsal.
