Last verified: 6 October 2026 against NEET-PG 2026 Information Bulletin (paras 9.7, 10.4–10.7) and NBEMS NEET-PG page.
Quick Answer
NBEMS publishes the NEET-PG answer key on its website, together with the response you marked and the score for each question, through your applicant login. Questions can be challenged only for technical errors, before the result, within 2 calendar days of the exam (until 1 September 2026 for NEET-PG 2026). There is no re-evaluation or re-totaling.
What does NBEMS publish?
Para 10.7 of the NEET-PG 2026 bulletin says NBEMS shall publish the answer key in compliance with the order dated 29.04.2025 of the Supreme Court in SLP No. 9298 of 2018. You see it through the applicant login on the NEET-PG 2026 index page of the NBEMS website. Four things are shown:
- •The Question ID numbers
- •The correct answer key for each question
- •The response the candidate marked for each question
- •The score given for each question under the scheme of evaluation
On confidentiality (para 9.7), NBEMS says the exam content is proprietary and confidential, and candidates may not reproduce or publish it, and NBEMS does not entertain requests to share the question paper or answers. For dates of the result and scorecard, see NEET-PG Result 2026.
How does the question challenge work?
The rules in para 10.5 of the bulletin:
- •Only technical errors in a question can be challenged, with supporting literature
- •The challenge must be raised before the result is declared, within two calendar days of the exam
- •Claims about the difficulty level of a question are not entertained
- •Only bonafide candidates who appeared can challenge, using their registered email ID on NBEMS's Communication Web Portal
For NEET-PG 2026, held on 30 August 2026, the bulletin put the last day of challenges at 1 September 2026. The bulletin clause mentions no challenge fee. If you plan to challenge a question, collect the textbook or guideline reference during the exam week, not after.
What happens after challenges?
Every question is reviewed by faculty of the concerned specialty after the exam; for a question found technically incorrect or ambiguous, full marks are awarded to all appeared candidates, whether or not they attempted it. This is para 10.6.
There is no re-evaluation, rechecking or re-totaling of responses marked by candidates (para 10.4). So the answer key shows what was marked and the score for each question, but it does not open a route to have marked responses re-checked. Your score then feeds the percentile and rank — see percentile and normalisation, marks vs rank and the cutoff.
How to use the answer key well
- •Match your marked response to the key question by question using the Question ID numbers, and note the score NBEMS gave each one.
- •Do not rely on unofficial keys shared on social media; the bulletin names the NBEMS website as the place the key is published.
- •Use your wrong answers as a revision list. Practising past papers by subject is the quickest way to close those gaps — see our NEET PG PYQs.
