The most repeated ENT topics in NEET PG and INI-CET (2017–2026) are Ear (62 questions), Nose (43 questions) and Larynx and Applied ENT (23 questions), out of 151 recalled ENT questions from 18 papers in the Kinase bank. Ear appeared in 18 of 18 papers.

Note: the question bank files ENT under only 5 broad topics, so this table shows wide chapters rather than individual concepts. We have not invented finer labels; use the concept guides and PYQ pages linked below to go deeper.

Which ENT topics are asked most?

Topics are ranked by recalled questions across NEET PG and INI-CET. "Asked in" counts the exam-year papers (out of 18 with ENT questions) in which the topic appeared at least once; "Share" is the topic's part of all 151 ENT questions.

#TopicQuestions (NEET PG / INI-CET)ShareAsked inYearsTrend
1Ear62 (19 / 43)41.1%18 of 18 papers2017–2026Rising (+5.5 pts)
2Nose43 (16 / 27)28.5%17 of 18 papers2018–2026Steady (+2.8 pts)
3Larynx and Applied ENT23 (14 / 9)15.2%15 of 18 papers2018–2026Rising (+5.9 pts)
4Pharynx16 (5 / 11)10.6%11 of 18 papers2018–2021, 2023–2026Falling (-9.9 pts)
5Instruments3 (2 / 1)2%3 of 18 papers2018, 2020, 2023—

Trend = change in the topic's share of ENT questions from 2018 to 2026 on a fitted line; ±5 percentage points or more is rising/falling. Topics with fewer than 10 questions get no label ("—"). 4 ENT questions are not yet filed under a topic and are left out of the table.

How many ENT questions appear each year?

ENT makes up 2.8% of all recalled questions in the bank. Its share was highest in 2026 (17 of 429 recalled questions that year), and its overall share trend since 2018 is steady (+1.7 pts). Bars differ in height partly because some years' papers were recalled more fully than others.

NEET PGINI-CET / AIIMS PGRecalled questions per calendar year; the number recalled differs by year.

What kind of ENT questions are asked?

Our editors tag each question's format (a question can carry several). 61 of the 151 ENT questions (40%) have an image in the stem. The most common format tags:

Where can you practise these ENT topics?

Practise the actual recalled questions on the NEET PG ENT PYQ page and the INI-CET ENT PYQ page, each with explanations.

How to read these numbers: previous-year papers are not released in full, so they are rebuilt from candidates' memory-based recalls and every question is reworded. The counts reflect Kinase's recall bank (snapshot 2026-09-30), not an official NBEMS or AIIMS subject or topic breakdown. A recalled paper can be incomplete, so compare shares rather than raw counts between years.

Methodology: Each question is counted once per exam-year, even when the same paper is mapped to several courses or tests. Where editors tagged recall provenance in a paper, untagged extra practice items are left out. See the all-subjects page for the full method, the list of papers and the cross-subject top 25.
